It’s the first snow fall of the season in Philadelphia. Tradition holds that we have no idea what to do with it, so we just walk and drive on it until it becomes such a hazard and disgusting black mess.
My snowy day was spent seeking shelter from the cold at the Barnes Foundation. The space was designed to interact with nature. Now in its second winter on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, I think the vision of the architects truly fulfilled the mission of Dr. Barnes.

Wet, slushy snow.
