I’ve been putting this off for so long, and now I truly regret it. I have a huge stack of DVDs full of photos dating back to about 2003. It’s time I start moving them to an external harddrive for more back up.. I’ve purchased a 2-terabyte external tonight, but I cannot wait any longer – it’s all going onto my 750-gigabyte portable for now.
What I didn’t realize was the big to do moving the images from CDs to hard drive was going to be. Apparently, I am not allowed to just move from CD to hard drive, I must import to my iPhoto library first.
So I must sit and import while listening to Pandora and making blog posts. It is taking me all night just to move about 4 CDs of images to my hard drive.
As I write, I am trying to move the folder that appears when I insert each disc onto my desktop. I’m not even sure what will happen from here, but it seems to be taking just as long – if not longer – than importing.
I’m sick and just want to go back to bed. But I need all my photos at my finger tips for the making of my new website. I have a deadline of December 8th, I’ve put this off long enough, I deserve this. But, come on! Help, anyone?
UPDATE: something happened. I don’t even know what this means. I just want to go to bed.
