Every week I get a rush of pleasure from taking great photos, having great photo experiences, learning new things. It’s a release of dopamine that keeps me going for the better part of the week. Thursdays, I can finally relax if I have finished printing and mounting by then. Fridays, I get to sleep in and roll into class at noon with my finished prints. But those moments before handing them in, and when viewing all my other classmates’ work… I get nervous that my work sucks and dread my own critique. But every week I receive appraisal and another dopamine rush from good feedback. I need to be more confident.
This week’s assignment was night shots. Every subject we were assigned to shoot had to be done at night using timed exposures and other techniques we learned about, and learned how to master via trial and error.
